Sliver Plume Ice

We had planned to climb a peak but with low temps and high winds in the high country we settled on a ice climb. We drove up Clear Creek but all of the regular formations were bone dry. We continued up I-70 and climbed on the Silver Plume Ice flow. The ice was in relatively good conditions but over the next week or two it should fatten up nicely. EJ and I each did 4 or 5 passes on top rope and enjoyed the sun and ‘warm’ temps. At one point there were 6 parties on the flow which limited our route variations but a good early season warm up.
