Mount Lincoln Ice Fall
Mount Lincoln Ice Fall
Jim and I took advantage of a Friday off and checked out the Mount Lincoln Ice Fall. In particular we went there to try the Scottish Gully (a moderate WI3-). Jim lead the first pitch placing two screws in route to a belay in the gully. From there I lead the second pitch which was over mostly low angle ice. I also lead the crux third pitch which traversed across to the flow to gain the easiest ground to the summit. It was bitterly cold all day but the climbing was still enjoyable.
