After constant pestering I finally got John out climbing. It had been awhile since he had been on rock so we opted for some moderate sport routes on Jug Dome. After the 20 minute approach I led up both pitches of Crystal Jug. Boosting his confidence on our first route, John decided to lead the first pitch of Love Canal. He climbed smoothly and looked as if he hadn’t been away at all. I lead pitch two of Love Canal and then we called it a day.
