Greyrock Peak

April 2010
In the last couple of weeks EJ and I haven’t been able to get out much but with our Sundays free we decided to check out Greyrock in the Poudre Canyon. To get to the base of the climb we hiked 2.5 miles on a rocky trail and then did a bit of bushwhacking to find the base of our route. From the base of the climb EJ took the first pitch (5.6) which was tricky crack climbing. I took the second pitch (5.6) which zigzagged up cracks and faces. EJ took the final pitch (5.6) to the summit up a large chimney. From the summit we took the non-technical trail back to the parking lot for a round trip time of 6 hours.
