We had planned on climbing the North Arete of the the First Flatiron but when we arrived at the parking lot and noticed snow along the ridge we opted for another, less snowy alternative. We settled on the East Face of the First Flatironette. We climbed the route in two long pitches at a runout 5.2 rating. EJ lead the first pitch which was mostly slab climbing and I lead the second which ran along  a flaring crack.
